Jimmy Kimmel is one of the kings of late night TV and now he is the KING of the Oscars! This man singlehandedly kicked the Oscars Ass, and in a good way! Now, I was skeptical about him at first, would he try too hard and his jokes would flop, would he be as epic and history making as Ellen DeGeneres was in 2014, would he even show up for the event? Okay, so the last one is a no brainer, of course he would show up, but you know what I mean.

Oscars 2017 Best Moments Awkward!!!! But this actually happened at last nights OSCARS!!! Now if you are among the few who tuned in for Hollywood’s BIGGEST and most ICONIC night in history, well Hollyscoop is here to catch you up to speed on the best moments from the 89th Oscars! So LaLa Land was nominated an astounding 14 times, a record breaker, for this year’s Oscars, one of those awards being Best Picture. Well…. last night it ALMOST, won 50% of the awards it was nominated for… ALMOST being the key word! To make a long awkward story short, but not less awkward, as the Oscars were winding down for the evening and announcing its last award for the year, Warren Beatty read the WRONG envelope and announced La La Land as winning Best picture when in actuality Moonlight won best picture!!! Kind of reminds us of this…. Justin Timberlake kicked off the evening with a performance of his original song, “Can’t Stop The Feeling,” and we were LOVING how giddy and excited all the celebs were dancing in their seats! Also, we are OBSESSED with how cute Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are, he dances with his wife and then gives her a big ol’ kiss at the end of his performance! Moonlight’s Mahershala Ali’s best supporting actor acceptance speech was EVERYTHING! He thanked his teacher’s, professors, wife and even his newborn daughter! And get this, he is the first Muslim actor to win an Oscar! Very well deserved and this year’s Oscars was definitely a far cry from past #OscarsSoWhite! Chrissy Teigen sleeping her way through the Oscars was ALSO another major highlight! Lastly, but not leastly, we have got to give it to Jimmy Kimmel for hosting! He hung with the best of them and clearly it’s no easy task, but I’ve got to say, I was impressed with his calm demeanor, yet comedic timing! Because timing is everything and he knocked this year’s Oscars out of the park, but that’s another story in and of itself, so stay tuned to Hollyscoop! This is just too good. Let me know your thoughts about your favorite Oscars moments. What movies and actors were overshadowed and did every winner, really deserve their Oscar? Let me know in the comments below!
